OVERVIEW of RECRUITMENT ROUNDS

EARLY MOVE-IN

Move-in typically takes place the day before PNM Orientation. Potential New Members and their families will have the opportunity to move into their on-campus residence halls. We will also have an event or activity that afternoon/evening to welcome you to campus and kick off the week! We’ll send you all the details about this later in the summer after you’re registered.

PNM ORIENTATION

August 17

PNM Orientation is an all-day affair where you will have the opportunity to become more familiar with the Florida State Panhellenic community, what recruitment week will look like, the transition to college life, and more! You’ll spend time on this day with your recruitment group while reflecting and preparing for the recruitment process.

ROUND 1: SCHOLARSHIP

August 18 & 19

Scholarship Round is your first official introduction to the Panhellenic community and takes place over two days. During these days, you will have the opportunity to visit all 17 chapters here at Florida State and get a glimpse into what it is like to be a sorority woman.

ROUND 2: INVESTMENT

August 20 & 21

Investment Round is the second round of recruitment and also takes place over two days. During this round, you will be able to ask questions and learn more about the financial obligations that come with joining a chapter. You’ll visit less chapters and spend more time with each of the chapters you’re visiting.

ROUND 3: LEADERSHIP/SERVICE

August 22 & 23

Leadership & Service Round is the third round of recruitment. During this round, you will have the opportunity to talk to the chapter women about the philanthropies their chapters partner with (both locally and nationally) and what leadership opportunities each chapter provides their members. This round is spread out over two days as well, allowing more meaningful time to be spent with each organization.

ROUND 4: SISTERHOOD

August 24

Sisterhood Round is the final round of recruitment and is only one day. This round is one of the most memorable and meaningful during recruitment, as chapters typically share a part of their ritual with you. This is the last day of recruitment events before Bid Day, and gives you one final look at the chapter(s) that you might become a part of in the Florida State Panhellenic community.

BID DAY

August 25

Bid Day is the last day of recruitment. You will be meeting with your Recruitment Counselor and walking to the Civic Center to open your bids! When you receive your bid, you will then be dismissed to the chapter facilities for their bid day celebration! You should plan to not be back to your residence hall or off campus living earlier than 7pm.

Inside our Panhellenic Community are 17 unique chapters.

Meet them!
