A NOTE FROM PI BETA PHI:

As the women of Pi Beta Phi, not only are we present in our Panhellenic community here at Florida State University, but we also strive to make our mark campus-wide. We are a sisterhood made up of delegates for multiple on-campus organizations, content editors for different publications, dance team captains, active members of national societies, and executive leaders in clubs across campus. We like to keep ourselves busy and wear different hats while doing so. We are philanthropic, contributors to our society, academically-inclined students, leaders, all while empowering each other as women.

We base our intentions on our core values: We believe in the importance of Integrity, the social responsibility we have that affects us personally as well as those around us. Lifelong Commitment is important to us because we carry Pi Beta Phi’s values with us on the daily and plan to do so for the rest of our lives. We practice Honor and Respect by appreciating Pi Beta Phi’s heritage and the opportunities it has brought us. We look for Personal and Intellectual Growth through the setting and achievement of our personal goals and chapter goals as a whole, while discovering the women we are meant to be. We practice Philanthropic Service to Others through our philanthropy Read>Lead>Achieve, emphasizing the importance of child literacy and promoting positive change within our community. Not only do we hold philanthropic events throughout the year to fundraise, but our chapter also has the opportunity to visit a local elementary school twice a week to read to children and create a positive attitude towards reading among them from a young age. Finally, as Pi Beta Phi women, we focus on establishing and fostering Sincere Friendship within our sisterhood as our fifth and final value.

Our mission within Pi Beta Phi is to build each other up by highlighting our personal strengths and enriching lives through community service. The FL Beta chapter at Florida State University gives every member the opportunity to be a leader and create an impact within the chapter. Aside from the professional, academic, and personal growth Pi Beta Phi offers us, this place feels like home because of the genuine love and support that exists within the sisterhood. We are proud and grateful to call Pi Beta Phi at Florida State our home away from home.
