Continuous Open Bidding
What is COB?
Continuous Open Bidding, COB, is the informal recruitment process that takes place after Fall Formal Recruitment and during the spring semester.
What makes COB different from Fall Formal Recruitment?
Unlike Fall Formal Recruitment, COB is unstructured. During the COB process PNMs will not receive a schedule of events. Instead chapters may hold open invitation events that all PNMs are encouraged to attend or invite PNMs individually to get to know them better. Throughout this informal recruitment process, there are no formal selections, meaning that PNMs may receive a bid at anytime. PNMs may also receive a bid from more than one chapter, however, they can only accept one bid.
When does COB start?
Continuous Open Bidding for the Fall began after Bid Day. Spring 2025 COB will begin at the start of the Spring 2025 semester. Please register by visiting this website.
How do I know if I am eligible to join a Panhellenic sorority?
In order to join a Panhellenic sorority, you must first be fully admitted to and enrolled at Florida State University and registered for at least 12 credit hours of fall classes. All Florida State women are welcome to participate in COB, as long as they have not signed an MRABA during the Fall 2024 semester. Transient and dual-enrolled students (those enrolled at other institutions, but are taking part-time courses at FSU) are not eligible.
What are the requirements to join after I receive a bid?
