A NOTE FROM CHI OMEGA:

GAMMA’S VALUES…

We value scholarship, involvement on campus, community service, striving in our careers, personal development and sisterhood above all else.

We are Gamma. Founded on May 7, 1908, our chapter began with a few charter members and now boasts an incredible membership of over 280 active members.

As sisters, we all can agree that Chi Omega is so much more than just a sorority we joined on a whim - it is a strong sisterhood and a home. Chi Omega provides us with a network of relationships and friendships that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Our members inspire each other every day to be better sisters, students, leaders, and friends. Look around and see just why we call this place our home away from home!

A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT…

As someone who grew up with two older sisters that are my best friends, I wondered to myself what a sisterhood could give that I didn’t already have… at least that’s what my 18-year-old, naive self thought who hadn’t experienced the support system within FSU Panhellenic. Whether you grew up with brothers, had a strong support system of girls on a sports team, or are desperately wanting to find your people in college because highschool didn’t give you that, be open to the Panhellenic community! You may be laughing to yourself about how you're not the sorority “type” and could never imagine yourself being in one. Therein lies the beauty of it! There is no one type in Chi Omega. We all come as we are to celebrate our individuality, but at the end of the day, share the same common values of consistently supporting each other through the thick and thin.

This community of women has taught me two very important lessons: how to live like a Chi Omega and how to love like a Chi Omega. You know those people in life who show up at just the right time? Well, that's Chi Omega. Simply put, our sisters know how to make people feel special, know that they matter, and that anybody can be loved no matter who they are. These women are probably the coolest, most adventurous, confident girls I know, but they are also so much more. They are genuine, compassionate, individualistic, radiant, a beacon of light, and the people who will pick you up when you’re falling apart. They want to get to know the real you and all that makes you who you are.

LET'S HEAR IT FROM THE RECRUITMENT CHAIR HERSELF...

Hi, my name is Kieley Whittaker, and I’m honored to serve as Chi Omega’s 2024 Recruitment Chair! This chapter has added more to my life than I could have imagined a few years ago, and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to give back to the women that have given me so much. When I came to Florida State, I knew I wanted to go through formal recruitment, but I had no idea how meaningful of an impact it would have on my college experience. My conversations during recruitment laid the foundation for friendships that have filled a missing piece I didn’t know I had. I am so grateful that recruitment has brought me all of these incredible memories, experiences, and opportunities that come with being a Panhellenic woman, and a Chi Omega.

If you are unsure about going through the recruitment process, I want to reassure you that our goal is to make you feel comfortable as we give you a glimpse into our sisterhood. College is a time of transition and change, and I hope that you find that Chi Omega will give you the tools to grow into the person you want to be during these pivotal years.

XOXO,

Kieley Whittaker
