A NOTE FROM KAPPA ALPHA THETA:

Dear Potential New Member, 

510 on West Park is far more than just a house. To over 200 women, it is our home away from home; a place where we can fully be ourselves, a place to be loved and supported, and a place where there is infinite room for growth. For many, Theta has gotten us through our hardest points not only in college, but in life. At the end of the day, encouragement and empowerment from your sisters can really be all it takes. It is not everyday that you find a group of women who support you, push you past every boundary, and care for you when you need it most. It is these kinds of sisterhood that will truly last a lifetime.

Established on October 18, 1924, the Beta Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at Florida State University has been standing strong for almost 100 years. The legacy that we now strive to continue began in 1870 by a few remarkably driven women with one main principal in mind; empowering leading women. Here at Theta, we push each other to be the best version of ourselves by encouraging excellence in academics, personal growth, social development, and service within our very own chapter philanthropy, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

Upon joining this chapter, we knew we wanted to make a difference, but never in a million years would we have guessed how much it would impact us. We are forever indebted to the Women of Kappa Alpha Theta for the lessons they have taught us and continue to teach us everyday.

To all the women who came before us; thank you for teaching us what true friendship looks like, how to push forward when life seems to be holding you back, and how to lead fearlessly. Having learned from the most inspiring women, we are constantly striving to leave a legacy of love, perseverance, and empowerment. 

To all the women who are to come next; we are so excited to welcome you into our sisterhood with open arms, and to accept you for all you have to offer to this chapter. We can’t wait to watch you find your niche, here at Florida State. We hope nothing more than the future women to follow us are able to grow into the person they have always dreamed of becoming, just the way we have attempted.
