A NOTE FROM KAPPA DELTA:

The Kappa Alpha Chapter of Kappa Delta was founded on November 11th 1904. At an impressive 119 years old, Kappa Alpha takes tremendous pride in our history as the oldest Panhellenic chapter on Florida State University’s campus. The shared values of Kappa Delta sisters and Kappa Delta chapters nationwide are the foundation of our sisterhood. Our values include lifetime learning, personal integrity, altruistic service, truth, and loyalty. The women of Kappa Delta are united in our efforts to live out these values in a manner each day that is honorable, beautiful and highest. As a sisterhood we not only embody these values, but we put them into action by inspiring confidence in those within and outside of our circle. 

At the Kappa Alpha chapter of Kappa Delta, we feel especially passionate about our national platform the Confidence Coalition and our philanthropies, Prevent Child Abuse America and the Children’s Home Society of Florida. Membership in Kappa Delta is designed to enhance a sister’s confidence with academic, leadership, and personal opportunities and give her the platform to instill confidence in others. Our passion to inspire confidence is further fueled by our philanthropies which work to ensure children have great childhoods, reach their full potential, and have safe and happy homes. To be a Kappa Delta woman is to be a part of an organization that has a mission and impact so much greater than herself.

The Kappa Delta sisterhood can be described by many adjectives such as empowering, supportive, loving, or earnest. However, one noun stands the test of time and serves as this for each sister throughout her lifetime; home. The Kappa Delta sisterhood is a home. A home that goes far beyond a physical location and is present in the hearts of every woman that is an initiate of our sisterhood. A home that can be found in any city at any time, a home that will be there on the best day of your life and the worst. It is a home that embraces you as your authentic self and nurtures you in ways you never knew were possible. This home houses sisters who exemplify kindness, act with compassion, speak with sincerity, and inspire growth. It is a place where you have the opportunity to leave your unique mark and flourish into the best version of yourself as a collegiate woman.
